Fourth Annual Holiday Giveback Campaign!

I’m thrilled to announce the fourth annual holiday giveback campaign in collaboration with local company Monogram Coffee! Beginning Dec. 1, $5 from every bag of "Mittens” coffee sold will be donated to The Mustard Seed. Each bag of coffee will also come with a free download of the new single "Mittens" that I wrote with Alberta artist Wyatt C. Louis. Louis is a Plains Cree folk singer-songwriter based in Moh'kinstsís Treaty 7 Territory (also known as Calgary, AB). He has made an impact on the eclectic city with songs built from soaring melodies, railroad-like finger picking and quiet, haunting vocals and lyrical phrasing.

Monogram will be donating all drink sales from the launch day, Dec. 1 , to The Mustard Seed – this includes sales from all three Calgary locations. As the campaign continues to grow each year, we can’t wait to get this special roast onto the shelves in time for the holiday season. A hot cup of the smooth Guatemalan roast is sure to invoke that holiday feeling – warm, cozy, and sweet. This collaboration, and the campaign, is something that Monogram and I look forward to every year.

Local Ice Cream shop Made by Marcus has joined the campaign for a second year, and created a Mongoram Espresso and Speculoos Cookie Butter ice cream inspired by “Mittens”. A portion of the proceeds from every scoop or pint sold of this limited-edition flavour will also be going towards the campaign supporting the Mustard Seed. The flavour will be available at all of Marcus’ shops in Calgary and Edmonton. MBM YYC now has delivery too!

The Mustard Seed is an organization working to eliminate homelessness and reduce poverty by providing basic needs (food, clothing, and hygiene items), education, employment programs, health and wellness services, housing, and emergency shelter. “We are honoured to be a part of the fourth annual Holiday Giveback campaign – our second year as the chosen charity! The coffee will be available online and in stores from Dec. 1-Dec. 31, 2020. For those in Calgary, it will be available at all three Monogram locations, and Edmontonians will be able to purchase the coffee at Brown Butter Café, Breadland Organic Bakery, and more. You can also catch me and Wyatt performing “Mittens” live with The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra on Dec. 12 as part of their free virtual concert series. Tickets are available HERE. “Mittens” will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, and more starting Dec. 4.
